This is not the plot of Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi brain-melt; it’s Heston Blumenthal‘s secretive new dining experience.

Heston’s Lab is the concept for a culinary experience, designed to offer theatrical dining which is very much exclusive, but not elitist.

Fine dining and novel dining experiences are typically reserved for the wealthy. Heston’s Lab is a truly unique dining experience, which is affordable and accessible to all.




Applications to Heston’s Lab are open to everyone. Participants are chosen at random, ensuring everyone has an equal chance of experiencing Heston’s Lab. You only pay if you get accepted.

Those lucky enough to win a place will receive an invitation and ticket through the post. The invitation and the ticket come in packaging resembling a pharmaceutical box - the first hint as to the theme of the experience. The ticket itself has a tablet inside, the purpose of which becomes clear at the end of Heston’s Lab experience during the desert.

Based on the “science behind food” the themed experience takes participants through a series of rooms, each individually styled to match their theme and purpose. Participents start off in Mixology Class, in which they will prepare their apéritifs with Heston’s unusual flare. From here on, the following three rooms are themed to the individual courses and require varying levels of participation.
